Hi! Remember me?

It's been a minute, or more like 7 weeks, since I got on the mic. 🎙️

Thankfully, I'm back today, even though my throat is hoarse from the Fall cold that won't quit.

So much has been happening and the thing about being an astrologer is that when the planets are bumping, your life is bumping too! It can be hard to have the time and the energy to step back, gain some perspective, and have something wise to say that connects all the cosmic dots.

Today, I did just that, and the words flowed. I can probably thank the Full Moon in Taurus for the inspiration and the Sun on my natal Saturn in Scorpio for the discipline to sit down and record.

ESSENTIAL ASTROCAST • EPISODE 234 Full Moon in Taurus: Retrograde Reflections and Inspired Action 44:19 MORE INFO

With the Full Moon in Taurus squaring Pluto (currently out of bounds), this week invites us to step into our power, or rather, our relationship with power.

If you feel powerFUL that is being amplified.
If you feel powerLESS that is being amplified.

With Pluto in Aquarius we are on a 20 year journey of remembering/learning that our power is in community, the collective, coming together, not separating apart.

BTW the last time Pluto was in Aquarius was during the American and French Revolutions. 👀

In today's podcast I mention one of my favorite quotes and I misspoke about the origin. The quote that "the next Buddha may be a sangha" belongs to Thich Nhat Hanh, not the Dalai Lama, but the sentiment remains the same.

Jupiter in Leo right now is joining with the South Node, a place of diminishment and release, encouraging us to let go of a belief that one person, one savior, one leader holds a magic wand that will fix it all.

Instead we have to do the work of the North Node in Aquarius and come together, gather our collective resources, and organize to create the world we want to see.

Pluto in Aquarius offers us the opportunity to transform the world yet again, just like back in 1776 and 1789. Aquarius is a sign of big ideas. There is no more use to thinking small, playing it safe, or taking care of just yourself. We've entered a new era of collective power, when the sangha (the community) holds the wisdom.

So if you've picked up what I'm putting down, this email isn't really about just astrology.

We have monumental elections happening across the globe. Both Brazil and Serbia have ousted long time leaders and their downfalls have been orchestrated by grassroots movements. This is Pluto in Aquarius amplified by the Full Moon in Taurus.

Next up is the US and Israel.

If you have the power to vote, use it.

Vote for your neighbor.

Vote like your child's life depends on it, because even if you don't have a child, there are children on this planet whose lives depend on your vote.

✨ May the stars shine brightly upon you,

P.S. I'll be hosting my next Cosmic Conversation November 6th at 12 PM. It's the perfect break from your day. We're trying out this new time, let's see how it sticks! Sign up if you can make it. CC is always free.

P.P.S.I have some openings for readings right now. If you'd like to book one, you can right here. If non of the available times work for you, reply to this email and I'll find something that does.

P.P.P.S I offer a little personal update on the podcast today, including my decision to let go of teaching yoga, for now. It's been a full nodal cycle since I began teaching yoga in 2008. Let that be your permission slip to take a break to get some perspective in your own life. The retrograde are here to help you review, revise, and revisit.
